Work In Progress

He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6

Check

Thanksgiving is over. Is it odd to be thankful that Thanksgiving is over? I went through a large range of emotions last week. Not that the break was terrible. It wasn't. However, I do feel a certain amount of relief that the first holiday as a divorced family is over. CHECK! I feel a sense of peace that I haven't felt in a long time. As if eventually all this crap will actually go away. It's a good feeling. Happy Thanksgiving all.

Lexapro

Thoughts from the girl who forgot to take her anti-anxiety meds last night:

This is all very surreal. It feels as though.... This cannot really be my life, right?

We all got so very skilled at pretending everything was alright. Then for brief moments, we were allowed to show the truth.

However, now I find myself trying to once again pretend that everything is alright. Unfortunately, this seems to be having a negative effect of my psyche.

These are the unspecified and archaic thoughts of a girl who forgot to take her anti-anxiety meds last night.

Thanksgiving

I like my bed. It is nice and big. I like my room. It is pretty and I enjoy the colors I picked. Black is so soothing. Not really deep. Just looking for some positives.

Picture

I'm trying to add a picture. We are going to try this out.

Providence

God's providence is seriously amazing. God put a woman in my life (Mindy) who knows me inside and out, purely because she is the same person. God is great at making you see his provision. Ask me about her sometime.

America

4 Days until my brother comes to America!

Countdown

5 Days until my brother comes home.

Temporary

In a movie I saw a long time ago, there is a quote that says, "Until the effects wear off, you should probably just consider yourself temporarily insane." Today, I am anyone but myself. I have a huge range of emotions. I hope this wears off soon. I pretty much know when it will end, but there is just too much going on right now to add the joy of temporary insanity.

Sorry, purposely vague. I just don't want to go into the detail of the emotions.

Storm

Praise You In This Storm
by Casting Crowns
I was sure by now
That You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say "Amen", and it's still raining
As the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
I'll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
Every tear I've cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm
I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry
You raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can't find You
As the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth
I'm really struggling right now, with everything. And yet, I will praise Him in this storm because He is where my help comes from.
