Work In Progress

He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6

Counting

Just in case you were wondering, we are down to forty-four days until the end of this semester.

Anyway, today was an interesting day. I lost my keys. This is not just my keys though. This contains my car keys, my apartment key, my room key, my Purdue ID, my License, and my Debit Card. I flipped out.

I discovered my keys were missing as I was grabbing for them so I could show the bus driver my ID so I could go back to my apartment because I had gotten out of class early and was looking forward to eating a real lunch. So, I was forced to stand there and watch my bus drive away.

I ran back to my classroom to see if my keys were there (this is all the way on the other side of campus by the way). No luck. I run back to the other side of campus to see if they are were I got off the bus this morning. Again, No luck.

At this point I start to flip. I call the City Bus Depot to see if someone found them on the bus. They told me I would have to wait until tomorrow. More flipping out ensues. I am afraid my card is being used and on top of all of that. I am supposed to go get my car at my apartment which is locked with my tutoring stuff inside and pick up the girls from my car-pool within an hour.

So I think I remember I have an extra button for my car in my locked apartment in my locked bedroom. So I frantically start calling anyone who had a car who might be able to drive me to my apartment. Again, no luck. Everyone was in class.

But the day slowly began to be full of blessings.
Amber, a girl in my car-pool for block four, comes through in a big way. She picks me up from campus (because I am stranded there), drives me to my apartment, waits from me to get Willowbrook staff to unlock my apartment and bedroom, drives me to my car so I can unlock it and get my tutoring stuff, and drives us to Hershey and back to campus.

Once back on campus, I discover I have an email from someone who has found my keys who will be sending them to the Union card place. I send him and email back asking what all was with my keys. And believe it or not, everything was intact! Amazing!

And when I finally got to see my room, I had a message from Lindsay (the other girl in my car-pool) which was full of encouragement.

All in all, God used a seriously rough day to make me see all the blessings He provided for me.
