Work In Progress

He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6

Hope

So in a rather rough moment today, this thought gave me hope.....

I can't wait until the day when I get to run to my Heavenly Father's arms. To have him hold me an tell me that he not only created me, but chose me, wanted me, and loved me before I was even born. This gives me the strength to get through this time on earth....

Post

In honor of Cory always trying to get to me to name the song title or artist. We will have another music question. Five points to the first one to identify the title and artist!

This will give you just a glimpse into what I've been listening to on my iPod.

Here are the lyrics:

I'm watching everything you say,
and everything you do,
watching if you're watching me.
I bought these trendy clothes,
and cut my hair this way for you,
just to make you look at me.

But how do I deal,
with all those guys who always flirt with you?
And how should I behave when I see you walking down my way.
Should I run and scream or should I die?

My friends say there's no way,
but I still think there's hope for us.
I can't quit on her now.
I can't leave her alone,
not if we should be together.

And all this time I tell myself,
that I must have you for myself.
Yeah.
And why should I believe that anything else is true?
So what am I supposed to do?

And all this time I tell myself,
that I must have you for myself.
Yeah.
And why should I believe that anything else is true?
So what am I supposed to do?

Competition

This is a salute to Kevin because we were talking about them the other day.
10 points to whoever can correctly identify this group first!

Counting

Just in case you were wondering, we are down to forty-four days until the end of this semester.

Anyway, today was an interesting day. I lost my keys. This is not just my keys though. This contains my car keys, my apartment key, my room key, my Purdue ID, my License, and my Debit Card. I flipped out.

I discovered my keys were missing as I was grabbing for them so I could show the bus driver my ID so I could go back to my apartment because I had gotten out of class early and was looking forward to eating a real lunch. So, I was forced to stand there and watch my bus drive away.

I ran back to my classroom to see if my keys were there (this is all the way on the other side of campus by the way). No luck. I run back to the other side of campus to see if they are were I got off the bus this morning. Again, No luck.

At this point I start to flip. I call the City Bus Depot to see if someone found them on the bus. They told me I would have to wait until tomorrow. More flipping out ensues. I am afraid my card is being used and on top of all of that. I am supposed to go get my car at my apartment which is locked with my tutoring stuff inside and pick up the girls from my car-pool within an hour.

So I think I remember I have an extra button for my car in my locked apartment in my locked bedroom. So I frantically start calling anyone who had a car who might be able to drive me to my apartment. Again, no luck. Everyone was in class.

But the day slowly began to be full of blessings.
Amber, a girl in my car-pool for block four, comes through in a big way. She picks me up from campus (because I am stranded there), drives me to my apartment, waits from me to get Willowbrook staff to unlock my apartment and bedroom, drives me to my car so I can unlock it and get my tutoring stuff, and drives us to Hershey and back to campus.

Once back on campus, I discover I have an email from someone who has found my keys who will be sending them to the Union card place. I send him and email back asking what all was with my keys. And believe it or not, everything was intact! Amazing!

And when I finally got to see my room, I had a message from Lindsay (the other girl in my car-pool) which was full of encouragement.

All in all, God used a seriously rough day to make me see all the blessings He provided for me.

Counting

There are 49 more days left in this semester! But, hey, who's counting?

Alone

My God is a provider! I have been feeling so very alone in the last couple of weeks. I have been almost consumed with loneliness. Then God provides me with this weekend in which I am surrounded by people I love and people who love me. I have just this wonderful feeling of God's love and provision! My God knows what I need even when I don't.
Rejoice in the Lord always! And again I say Rejoice!

You

I talk about the day
You walked into my life and took the shame away
I talk about your love
It's more than I could dream of
I talk about
Your face
And when I get to see it for eternity
I talk about
Up above
The heavens and I wonder what they’re made of
It's easy to figure out
What my life is all about
It's all about you
It's not about me
Wherever I go I want people to see
Your light is shining
Like the sun in everything that I do
It's all about you
It's all about you
It's all about you
It's all about you
You!!!!!!
I talk about your hands
And how they lift me up when I get under them
I talk about your eyes
And how they always see me even through the night
I talk about
Your voice
And how I hear you calling even through the noise
I talk about
Your arms
And how they wrap me up and keep me safe from harm
It's easy to figure out
What my life is all about
It's all about you
It's not about me
Wherever I go I want people to see
Your light is shining
Like the sun in everything that I do
It's all about you
It's all about you
It's all about you
It's all about you
You!!!!!!
There's no one like you....
There's no one like you....
It's all about you it's not about me (as if you should do things my way)
It's all about you it's not about me (as if you should do things my way)
It's all about you it's not about me
No No No No No No No!!!!
Yeah ! Yeah !
It's all about you
It's not about me
Wherever I go I want people to see
Your light is shining
Your light is shining
Like the sun in everything that I do
It's all about you
It's all about you
It's all about you
It's all about you
You!!!!!!

Clean

So I realized tonight since I was back at school with enough time to think that I have let myself get dirty. I'm not talking physically. I am talking mentally and spiritually. In the same way I have not cleaned my environment (my room and bathroom) in a while. I have not cleaned my heart and mind.

Do you ever just get in the mood to clean? It rarely happens to me, but when it does, it is a good thing. So in cleaning my bathroom and bedroom, I have decided to clean out my life. I had let so many cobwebs collect in my life that I could no longer see what I was doing. No more. The cobwebs are gone and I am approaching the rest of this semester with a clean room, bathroom, heart, and mind.

Oh, and perhaps the best part about cleaning is it makes you feel more productive. So now I am in the mood to actually do some homework. The perks just keep on coming!

Block

Just in case anyone was wondering.... Block four is every bit as bad as Block three! They just stink in different ways! Ridiculous!

Well, I best start this lesson plan which was assigned today and is due tomorrow! Craziness! As if I didn't already have homework stuff planned for tonight!

With that rant, I hope you all have a wonderful sleep!

Elephant

I asked Cory for a Elephant for my birthday and he came through in a big way!
Check this out!

Anyway, my 20th was not half bad despite the beginning of the day! Thanks for all the well wishes everyone!
