Work In Progress

He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6

Gone

I'm in Michigan at a beautiful 2.something million dollar house on a beach with one of my best friends and the four most amazing children I know. And I miss my husband so much I can hardly breathe. Literally feel pain in my chest. Why did I think I would be ok without him for a few days? My life is so entwined with him, that I can't do anything without thinking of him. I feel like a ungrateful jerk to be sad in such a beautiful place, but I just miss him so much.

Victory

Have not slept well since hurting my foot. It was pain at first, then discomfort of wearing a boot to sleep in since I have to keep my foot flexed all the time. So I invested in one of this babies! My first solid full night of sleep in a week and a half! Finally!
Kevin, its called the straussburg sock. I highly recommend for any of your runner friends with plantar fasciitis.

Fabulous

If you have to be on crutches, you might as well make them fabulous.

Work

Sometimes my job is fun. Like building this gem on a sunday morning.

Valentines

From my hubby. Who hates valentines day. So sweet.

Video

This is my birthday gift from my amazing husband. He had the idea to combine a lot of my favorite things. Coloring. Chuck Taylors. And he had some of my favorite people get involved in it!

Paint

Our newly painted kitchen table.

Work

Yeah. This is my job. How fun is that? It's like a clown car. The car was already stuffed from the previous stores. This is the kind of adventure that makes my life with my husband so fun! FYI, it's the Christmas snow that will be used as clouds for vbs this July.

Domesticity

Adventures in Domesticity!

I saw an idea for a sunflower peep cake. And I decided that I needed to do it.
Now, this is my first time making a layer cake and first time decorating/frosting a cake.

Here it is in pictures.

So far so good. Two well baked moist 8 in round cakes.

I use a knife and level off the tops and frost in the middle. Yup, still going well. Or so I thought. Can you figure out my fatal error?

Two layers completely frosted. I start to add the peeps.
Then I realize I need to move it to the cake tray.

Apparently you cannot move a multilayer cake once you have layered and frosted it already.
Insert some foot stomping and some screaming.
This lovely concoction ended up in a rather large garbage bags. I was disgusted.

I made this bad boy at church the next day while setting up for the Children's Good Friday Service. Note it's presence on the cake tray already as opposed to the cooling rack.

Not too awful bad for a first shot (well, um second)

Happy Easter Y'all!
Eat a peep or two!
